What is Oat milk made of?

Oat milk is a plant-based milk made from oats and water. Oat milk is made by soaking and blending steel-cut or rolled oats with water and then straining the mixture. Much of the oat's natural nutritional content is removed during the straining process, so commercial oat milk is often fortified with nutrients like cow milk. Oat milk is rising in popularity, especially amongst people with dietary restrictions, as oat milk is vegan, and free of lactose and many allergens. Oat milk is also more enviromentally friendly than traditional dairy milk, consuming 15 times less water and creating 3 times less greenhouse gas emissions.
